How am I upset that it's beating XBOX and PS3 when I was defending the Wii, not bashing it. You have nothing to beat down at all, and your point shows you didn't read everything I posted.
Heck, it shows how reasonable I am when after some great points were made my way, I took back what I said and even apologized. How often do you see people do that around here when they are shown that they were incorrect in their assumpions.

Is that I get so sick of the anti-any system articles, most of them opinion based blog post sillyness.
The reason I mentioned this being another of Catastrophies anti-Wii articles, is because she very consitantly posts negetive reviews to games that we all knew would blow, including negetive reviews to VC games....VC GAMES....old games that were not very good when they were new, and it just seems silly to post these reviews now when they are just even more bad now that time has...

Like was already said by DUB, why can't we just forget these hate crusades and enjoy games like they are meant to be. If only everyone were as mature.
Street Fighter has always been my fighter of choice...even though KI combos were cool to watch, when someone knew what they were doing...like those 90-hit combos some people could do.
The character's were very neat and unique though. I always loved the concepts and art of Glaceus (?) and the Skeliton. Those two characters were very cool to watch.
So many people talk as if FFVII is the penacle of RPG gaming. It was good, but it is my least favorite of the PS1 era.
I always liked FFVIII the best, followed by FFIX. But none of them really hold a candle to the classic SNES RPG's.
But no RPG is quite as bad as FFX was....man I truly hated that game.
Game creator games are not new, so that aspect is not as innovative as you would think.
The RPG creator series were really the first to truly utilize a way to fully create for yourself a game only limited by your imagination. It was a hardcore gamers paradise.
This expands on the idea of creating your own game almost infinitly, but it didn't invent it.
Nights should sell much more than that, while it's nice that GT 5's sales seem to be on a great start.

We were talking a few days ago about certain franchises that sell well in Japan, even if they are more geared toward casual anymore. Look at Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon on the Wii. Final Fantasy titles always sell well in Japan, and sometimes it doesn't matter the content.

I thought I had seen all of the anti Wii bashing stories people could muster, but attracting roaches is a new one for me.
People in the US got to play it if they went to E for All, although it was unfinished at that point.
All the impressions of the Japanese release have been very positive.
I plan on getting it next year when it's released stateside. When I can't make the gym, this would be a great way to get some cardiovascular activity in before bed or quickly during the day. I think it's a great idea of Nintendos.

Out of this World was good, but surprisingly I liked Flashback even more.
Sony wouldn't have any hold on Squares properties, just like Nintendo doesn't. It's just a matter of time, and we'll get them on the VC. To be honest, I am expecting Square to probably release a port of Chrono Trigger on the DS sometime next year, I just have that feeling. If they do, I'll pay the extra money for it, since the port to the PS1 was horrible will major load times.

*PS3 will make a comeback with some top notch games slated for release.
*FFXIII will not be released, and probably won't be until mid 2009.
*MGS4 will be the defining game for PS3 in 2008.
*Burnout Paradise will lead the racing pack.
*GT5 will be great, but will be hurt by the over hype, just like GT4 was.

None of the previous Godzilla games were spectacular either, but they were fun. I plan on picking this one up eventually, since I'm sure it'll be mindless fun just like the previous games were.
This game was also panned on the PS2, but for some reason noone posts those reviews up...oh yea...it's because posting negetive news about the Wii is the "cool" thing to do.

In fact there was an interview where they stated that they want to realease the classic Square properties on the VC, but Square so far has not wanted to release too much on the VC yet. They only have released a couple of their games so far.

It was bound to level off. In the stock market, you can only go so high before you have to find an even plane of ground. This means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
I wouldn't call the Wii the biggest dissapointment of the year, not by a longshot.
I have been quite happy with mine, and have played it much more than even my PS3 so far this past year. Next year the PS3 will get much more use, but this year it was all about the Wii.
